US Air got me home at a good time last night - I was able to switch to the 5:40 flight, which meant that I gave up my first class seat on the 8:20, but home before dark? Priceless.
Peter graduates in two days, his graduation party (and Will's fake fourth-birthday) is in nine days, and I have mega weeds to pull. Are you all praying for sun and warmth for Saturday the 19th with me? I hope so, because otherwise we'll have 50-100 people huddled under tents in the backyard, seeking shelter. Or making a mad mess of my living room.
So, with lots to do? I get CRAFTY.
Measuring resin and sealant, and pouring it over carefully arranged Fisher Price Little People on a serving tray...now that takes the stress away. Until your 3 year-old son says, "What's this, mommy?", and sticks his finger in the resin while it's still tacky.
Hey! The psycho bunnies in my yard have been nibbling the tulip buds off the stalks, methodically, as they bloom. Fucking rabbits. I did beat them in clipping these two, which magically match my favourite stripey Kate Spade tote:
Pretty, right? P.S. I hate those stupid bunnies.
Also, I came home to the nice surprise that my decorator (okay, Michelle Cefaratti) got her skinny ass out to Lockport and did a spectacular job on the small lav on our first floor. Look:
So much nicer than before.
