Well, I apparently had way too much fun last night. I think having a babysitter until midnight and a wallet full of cash made me want to take full advantage of the night. Of course, now I am reduced to no money and a throbbing headache that no amount of ibuprofen has been able to cure so far. Peter is currently making me a giant cheeseburger on the grill and I'm thinking that that and a diet coke will help me.
Everything last night at Oktoberfest was fabulous, save for the port-a-potties. I had no idea that the Central Terminal does not have running water and the signs pointing to 'restrooms' are misleading, to say the least! Never mind, I drank my way through that disappointment. At the ripe old age of 37, I am slowly figuring out that drinking 7 beers on an empty stomach does not work. Jesus! Anyway, it was great to see everyone and if I spilled beer on you I am very sorry.
After doing the Oktoberfest thing, we hit Papaya for late-night food (and a very delicious pineapple-upside-down martini) with Lauren and Rodney.
After that, I was driven home by my wonderful husband where I handed the sitter all my remaining cash and passed out, with my makeup still on.
And today I am useless. USELESS.
My friends and I saw the "restrooms" sign and starting joking about how it was probably just a hallway leading out the back door. I had no idea that was so close to the truth!

Grüß Gott Jen :)
Was fun to meet you at the oktober fest.
Good thing i left my knickerbocker lederhosen at home. That place was pretty damn cold. I would have frozen off meine Haselnoten ;)
Although i didn't know most bloggers there yet or even heard about their blogs it's still cool to meet all of you peoples and now finally read your blogs. Jeez, I'm glad Deeva never writes about her hubby (me) on her blog (the 716) in the way you abuse your hubby hahaha. I'd have to kill her and post pictures of her dead mutilated body on her own blog. Next time i see your hubby i will have to buy him a beer. Poor fella, it's not easy to be married to a blogging wife I guess ;) just kidding. Anyway i'm happy to see it works for you as a sort of therapy. At least this way he still got his life, you're not in prison, and we all have something to laugh about. so everyone wins :)
Anyway fun fun stuff. I'll keep checking your blog from now on.
And what are you saying.. it doesn't work well to have 7 beers on an empty stomache? For me nothing works better than to get a real nice fast and cheap buzz by not eating anything the entire day and basically start having some beers as a sort of 'breakfast' around dinnertime ;) Kinda like rightnow hahaha.
Prost! :)
